Correct selection of single fiber optical transceiver

Time:2022-04-28 Views:

When you only have one fiber optic cable? How to choose a fiber optic transceiver?

The general fiber optic cable is a double-core fiber, one wire is used to receive the signal, and the other wire is used to send the signal. On the other hand, single-core fiber uses a single fiber optic cable to receive and transmit signals at the same time. According to the principle that light of different wavelengths cannot communicate, at least two optical signals of different wavelengths are transmitted in a single-mode fiber to achieve the effect of simultaneous reception and transmission.

Therefore, the selection of fiber optic transceivers also needs to be purchased separately. Ordinary fiber optic transceivers can be used alone or in pairs. However, single-core fiber optic transceivers must be used in pairs. Generally speaking, this end is R5T3, and the opposite end is R3T5. (This end receives 1550nm and sends 1310nm. The opposite end receives 1310nm and sends 1550nm).

Therefore, after selecting a single-fiber optical fiber transceiver, you need to pay attention to pairing during use. That is, the 1310nm transmitter and the 1310 receiver are used in pairs. Generally, manufacturers will have AB points in the model. Then when using, the A-end transceiver can be connected to the B-end transceiver, and AA and BB cannot be paired for use.
