1. Market development and standard preparation

Standards are important technical documents that regulate the healthy development of the cabling market. However, the rapid development of the cabling industry makes us realize that our technical infrastructure often lags behind the needs of the market. The contents of GB50311-2007 Code for Engineering Design of Generic Cabling System and GB50312-2007 Code for Engineering Acceptance of Generic Cabling System are mainly composed of Category 5e and Category 6 cabling, which need to be revised urgently. GB50174-2008 Code for Design of Electronic Information System Room has been revised.

In view of this situation, the Generic Cabling Working Group of the Information Communication Professional Committee of China Association for Engineering Construction Standardization has played a role in supplementing and improving the content of the national standard by compiling the technical white paper of the cabling industry. The white paper actively introduces new contents of foreign standards and combines them with relevant domestic standards and technical requirements, product applications, engineering cases, etc. It has good application value and is welcomed by the market. The preparation of technical white papers will continue with the development of the cabling industry.

2. Intelligent Management and Internet of Things

The current intelligent distribution system mainly adopts the "ninth pin" and "port" technologies. How to realize the "end-to-end" management of all distribution equipment in the distribution system, how to introduce the concept of the Internet of Things, and how to apply the RFID technology of electronic labels to the integrated management of assets and security of the entire distribution system (cables, bridges, modules, boxes, cabinets, etc.) need to be researched, developed, applied, and promoted.

3. Optical broadband access and three networks integration

Optical fiber broadband access uses optical fiber transmission media to extend the communication business from the business center to the community, roadside, buildings, users, and even terminals to achieve the integration of the distribution network to meet the application of voice, data, images, and multimedia, involving the entire optical distribution network of the park and buildings, Therefore, optical fiber and optical components will be fully used in the construction of access network with telecom operators and cable TV service providers.

4. Home wiring system and smart home

As the infrastructure of residential buildings, the home wiring system is the most basic unit for information acquisition and control of smart homes (information communication, home appliance control, emergency call, smoke alarm, all-in-one card, meter and meter copying, lighting and curtain control, etc.). According to the requirements of national standards, each household should be equipped with a home distribution box, which can have different combinations of functions (wiring, Ethernet switch, telephone switch, cable TV, weak current control module, etc.), and the indoor home wiring should be in place at one step.
