Installation methods and skills of shielded wiring system

Time:2022-12-20 Views:

The advantages of shielded wiring system are mainly reflected in its strong resistance to external electromagnetic interference and radio frequency interference; At the same time, it can also prevent the internal transmission signal from radiating energy to the outside, with good system security. For a shielded wiring system, to reflect its characteristics, we need to pay attention to the following two points during design and construction:

1. The function of the shielded wiring system requires that all connecting hardware use shielded products, including transmission cables, distribution frames, modules and jumpers.

2. The shielded wiring system must be installed correctly and well grounded. If the shielding layer of each connecting element of the transmission channel is discontinuous or poorly grounded, the transmission performance may be worse than that provided by the unshielded system.

Part I Installation of Shielded Wiring System

The installation of shielded wiring system mainly involves two aspects: termination of shielded cables in floor wiring room and work area and system grounding.

In view of the particularity of the shielding system, it is necessary to ensure that the shielding layer of the cable is in good contact with the shielding layer of the module and distribution frame within the 360 degree range, rather than being connected at some points. At the same time, the shielding layer cannot break in the middle of the same link.

Step 1: Use a special termination tool to remove the skin of the shielded cable

Step 2: Separate the stripped 4 pairs of twisted pair core wires. Do not disassemble each core wire pair. According to the core wire color sequence indicated on the information module, pull a small section of corresponding core wires horizontally with both hands, and place the wires one by one into the corresponding wire slot with slight force.

Step 3: After all the core wires are embedded, the core wires can be further pressed into the trunking one by one with the wire punches. Align the knife edge of the wire marking tool with the wire slot and wire on the information module, and the extra wire outside the module will be cut off. Repeat the operation, and connect the drain wire in the cable with the metal sheet behind the module.

Step 4: Insert the plastic dust shield of the information module into the twisted pair along the notch and fix it on the information module, then cover the iron cover of the module and press it tightly to complete the whole process of module manufacturing. Then put the made information module into the information socket.

Step 5: After the information module is made, you can also test whether the connection is good. At this time, you can use a multimeter to measure. Set the multimeter to the resistance position of x10, contact one of the multimeter pins with the corresponding core wire at the other end of the network wire, and use the probe to contact the edge of the wire slot of the corresponding color core wire on the information module (note that it does not contact the core wire). If the resistance is very small, it proves that the information module is well connected, otherwise, press the corresponding core wire with the wiring pliers until it is smooth. Professional testers, such as FLUKE, can also be used to select different shielding test standards according to different objects.
