Integrated cabling system is a standard structured cabling system for voice, data, video and other information technology. The integrated wiring system is a transmission network in a building or building group, which can connect voice and data communication equipment, switching equipment and other information management systems to each other, including the connection point between the building and the external network or telephone office line. All cables and associated wiring components between voice or data terminals in the work area.
Four main characteristics of integrated wiring: Building automation (BA) includes fire automation (FA), communication automation (CA), office automation (OA) (including information management automation (MA)), and wiring integration.

Adopt modular design and layered star topology. The widely used building and building complex combined wiring system (PDS) structure can be divided into 6 independent systems (modules):
1. The Work Area Subsystem consists of the connection (cord) from the terminal equipment to the information socket.
2. Horizontal Subsystem Connect the cables from the floor distribution frame to the information sockets on each user's work area, generally on the same floor.
3. The Riser Backbone Subsystem connects the main distribution with the distribution frame system on each floor.
4. Administration Subsystem Connect the vertical trunk cables to the horizontal wiring subsystems on each floor.
5. Inter-equipment subsystems Connect various public equipment (such as computer hosts, digital program-controlled switches, various control systems, and network interconnection equipment) to the main distribution frame.
