1. General provisions

1.1 The bending radius of optical cable shall not be less than 15 times of the outer diameter of optical cable, and shall not be less than 20 times during construction.

1.2 The traction force of laying optical cables shall not exceed 80% of the allowable tension of optical cables. The maximum instantaneous traction shall not exceed 100% of the allowable tension of the optical cable. The main traction shall be added to the reinforcement (core) of optical cable.

1.3 The optical cable traction end can be prefabricated or fabricated on site. The directly buried or underwater armored optical cable can be used as a net cover or a traction terminal.

1.4 To prevent the cable from being damaged by twisting during traction, a swivel shall be added between the traction end and the traction cable.

1.5 When laying optical cables, they must be laid out from above the cable reel and kept in a loose arc. The optical cable shall not be twisted during laying, and it is strictly prohibited to make small circles, surge and other phenomena.

1.6 When mechanical traction is used for optical cable laying, centralized traction, intermediate auxiliary traction or decentralized traction shall be selected according to traction length, terrain conditions, traction tension and other factors.

1.7 Tractors for mechanical traction shall meet the following requirements:

1) The adjustment range of traction speed shall be 0-20 m/min, and the adjustment mode shall be stepless speed regulation;

2) The traction tension can be adjusted and has the function of automatic stop, that is, when the traction force exceeds the specified value, it can automatically send out an alarm and stop the traction.
