Several types of fiber jumpers commonly used in IoT projects are:

1. FC type optical fiber jumper: The external strengthening method is to use a metal material sleeve, and the fastening method is a screw button. Generally used on the ODF side. (More are placed on the optical fiber distribution frame)

2. SC type optical fiber jumper: the connector for connecting the GBIC optical module, its chassis is a rectangular frame, and the fastening method is to use the plug-in bolt type, which does not need to be rotated. (more used on wireless router network switches)

3.ST type optical fiber jumper: common in optical fiber distribution frame, the casing is round, and the fastening method is screw. (For 10Base-F connection, the connector is usually ST type. Commonly found in fiber optic distribution frames)

4. LC type fiber jumper: the connector connecting the SFP control module, it is made of the modular design socket (RJ) latch principle which is convenient for practical operation. (Common with wireless routers)

In addition to these four types of fiber optic patch cords, metal pigtails are also commonly used in IoT projects. The metal pigtail is also called pigtail. One end is the connector, and the other end is the broken core of the optical cable. It is suitable for connecting fiber optic cables and fiber optic transceivers (with fiber optic couplers, leaking lines, etc. in the middle). It usually occurs in the optical fiber terminal box, and it is connected to the core of other optical cables according to the welding method, which can simplify the installation and protection of the cable design.
