Officially repair the obstacles of optical cable lines, try to maintain communication, especially the communication of important lines cannot be interrupted. Construction quality must meet the requirements of optical cable construction quality standards and maintenance quality standards. When formally repairing all obstacles on the optical cable line, the following issues should be noted:
1. For obstacles near the junction box or joints, the optical fibers reserved in the junction box or the optical cables reserved in the joint pit should be used for maintenance, and no joints should be added. If there is a reserved fiber optic cable near the obstacle point, use the reserved fiber optic cable for connection, and only one connector is required.
2. When intervention or cable replacement is required to formally repair cable obstructions, the same manufacturer and same type of cable should be used.
3. The intervention or replacement length of the optical cable can be considered from the following three factors:
(1) Considering that the terminal station or relay station must use the OTDR to monitor the connection of the optical cable in the formal maintenance or routine maintenance of the optical cable to distinguish the obstacles between the two adjacent connection points; the minimum length of the optical cable inserted or replaced must meet the OTDR The response resolution (two-point resolution) of the instrument is required, usually better than 100 meters.
(2) Considering that the single-mode fiber will not affect the operation of the single-mode fiber under steady-state conditions to ensure the communication quality, the minimum insertion or replacement length of the fiber should be greater than 22 meters.
(3) For the intervention or replacement of the length of the optical cable, please refer to the principle requirements of (1) and (2), consider the actual situation, and use it flexibly. For example, if there is a connector near the insertion or replacement cable, extend the cable as far as possible to the connector and add only one connector.
4. The intervention or replacement of optical cable, the general sequence of optical fiber cutover:
(1) First of all, the two parties should jointly agree on the fiber switching plan according to the scheduling principle and scheduling sequence stipulated in the circuit scheduling system, and report to the superior for approval.
(2) Try not to interrupt the circuit (especially important circuits). When the optical fiber is cut and connected, when the original optical fiber and the new optical fiber are connected with an emergency optical cable, the spare optical fiber should be connected first, and the spare optical fiber should be used as a spare optical cable pair. The secondary circuit should be suspended, the system will cut the stem fiber into a pair of replacement fibers, and then restore the optical path one by one according to the original cutting sequence.
