The fiber connector, that is, the optical fiber connector of the optical module, also has many types, and cannot be used each other. Those who are not often exposed to fiber may mistakenly believe that the optical fiber connecter of the GBIC and SFP module is the same, but it is not. The SFP module is connected to the LC optical fiber connector, and the GBIC is connected to the SC optical fiber optical fiber connector. Here are several commonly used optical fiber connectors in network engineering in detail:

① FC type optical fiber connector: The external enhancement method is a metal sleeve, and the fastening method is screw buckle. Generally use on the ODF side (the most used on the wiring frame)

② SC optical fiber connector: The connector connected to the GBIC optical module. Its shell is rectangular. The fastening method is to use plug -in and unplugged pheasants without rotating. (The most used on the router switch)

③ ST -type optical fiber connector: It is often used for optical fiber wiring racks. (For the 10Base-F connection, the connector is usually ST type. It is often used for optical fiber wiring frames)

④ LC -type optical fiber connector: Connector connected to the SFP module, which uses a convenient operating modular jack (RJ) 闩 lock mechanism. (Commonly used by router)

⑤ MT-RJ: square fiber connecter with a transceiver, a double fiber receiving and receiving one
