What are the common faults of optical fiber transceivers

There are many types of light recovery, but the method of fault judgment is basically the same. The faults that will occur in the summary of the optical transceiver are as follows:


1. Power lights are not on

The failure may have the following situations:


(A) Check whether the optical fiber line is disconnected


(B) Check whether the optical fiber line is too much, exceeding the device receiving range


(C) Check whether the optical fiber interface is connected correctly. The local TX is connected to the RX in the distance, and the distance TX in the distance is connected to the local RX.

(D) Check whether the fiber connector is intact into the device interface, whether the type of jumping line matches the device interface, whether the equipment type matches the fiber, and whether the equipment transmission length is matched with the distance.


3. Circuit link light is not on


The failure may have the following situations:


(A) Check whether the network cable is disconnected


(B) Check whether the connection type is matched: cross -line, switches, hubs and other equipment such as network cards and routers and other equipment uses direct lines.


(A) Check whether the transmission rate of the device matches


4. Evergrown packages of network packaging


The failure may be as follows:


(1) The portal device interface of the transceiver, or the dual -work mode of the device interface at both ends, is not matched.


(2) There are problems with RJ-45 heads and tests.


(3) The problem of optical fiber connection, whether the jumper is aimed at the device interface, whether the tail fiber is matched with the type of tail fiber and the type of coupling device.


Optical fiber transceiver test method

If you find a problem with the connection of the transceiver, please follow the method below for the reason for the cause of the fault


(A) Nearly test:


The computers at both ends are ping. If you do not communicate in the proximal test, you can judge that it is a fiber transceiver failure.


(B) remote test:


The computers at both ends are ping. If ping is not connected, it is necessary to check whether the optical path connection is normal and the transmission and receiving power of the fiber transceiver is within the allowable range. If you can ping the general, it proves that the light road connection is normal. You can judge the fault problem on the switch.


(C) The fault point of the remote test judgment:


First connect the switch one end and ping at both ends. If there is no failure, you can judge the failure of another switch.
